Collaborative Website Design Proposal

Program Outcomes: 1, 3, 4, & 6

Professional Values: 1, 2, & 3

The purpose of this artifact was to work in teams to create a website for a real-world client using the skills and knowledge gained in this introduction to HTML and CSS.  I collaborated with my classmate and colleague Sandra Findley to create a website design proposal for a local landscaping and snow removal business.  This website design proposal guided the way for the site design.  We followed theories put forth by Krug (2006) to make the website easily navigable, and user friendly, by omitting needless words, designing clear site navigation, and putting the website through usability testing.  Creating this real-world website helped me to become more confident as a web designer, and develop successful web creation, redesign, and troubleshooting strategies.
